More than Chili was cooking at the Tustin Chili Cookoff and Street Fair held in Old Town Tustin on June 4th, 2023.
Thanks to TARWF member Becky Grimes and her outstanding design skills we had a patriotic balloon tower and the most amazing canopy under which to share our message.
More than one visitor said, “This is the best booth here!"
Men and women alike stopped by to see what we were “all about.” It was interesting to learn the number of women that did not know we existed. Well, they do now! In addition to sharing our mission and inviting them to our next meeting we were able to talk about local issues.
You would be amazed at the degree of bonding that can take place over a branded bottle of water. Feelings of solidarity and support were continually fueled by the smiles and thumbs-ups displayed by those who did not have time to actually stop and chat.
Overall, it was a worthwhile investment of our time, and a relaxed atmosphere in which to share our efforts. We already have three potential new members who could bring their friends. It just proves that we need to get the word out!
